Ask an Agent- Med Pay

Hey Miro, can you tell me what med pay is?
Sure, it covers your medical payments in case you’re involved in an accident. It doesn’t matter who’s at fault in the incident, it could be at fault or not at fault and it does cover your medical payments. God forbid funeral services as well, if somebody was to pass away in the accident. Medical payments could cover anywhere from 1000, 2000, 5000, and all the way up to $10,000. Of course, it’s something that you pay extra to have that medical coverage on your policy. Thank you. Thank you.

Ask an Agent- Comprehensive vs Collision Coverage

Hey, Gaby. Yes, ma’am. Hey, can you tell me the difference between comprehensive and collision coverage? Yes.

So collision is basically when you collide your vehicle with another object or you hit another car or a wall and the comprehensive is basically anything besides collision like fire, vandalism, your car got stolen, anything like that.

It’s not required or mandatory, but if you are leasing your auto through a finance company, then it is mandatory to have a comprehensive and collision coverage.

Also, the deductibles with the comprehensive and collision is either 250, 500, 750 or 1000 it depends on the carrier and deductible means that that’s what you will have to pay out of pocket to place a claim. Thank you. You’re welcome.

Ask An Agent- Boat Insurance

Hi, I’m Taylor and we’re going to talk about boat insurance today. Boat insurance is not mandatory, but if you are on the water and you do get pulled over by the police, they will ask to see proof of insurance and if you don’t have it, well, you could get a ticket. So obviously we always recommend that.

Boat insurance does cover your liability, your uninsured motorist coverage, your med pay your comp and collision and it does come with towing which would be on water to which in case you get stranded while you’re on the water, they’ll send out a tow boat to come get you and bring you back into land.

Boat insurance also does cover the trailer that is going to be pulling the boat so that is also included with the insurance. If you have any questions and want us to quote your boat, give us a call. Thank you.

Ask An Agent- SR22

Hi, my name is Gaby and I’m here to talk about the SR22. What is an SR22? The SR22 is a financial responsibility filed by the DMV and needs to be carried for three consecutive years without a lapse coverage. The reason why you need an SR22 can be due to a lapse on your insurance or it can be due to a DUI that is drug or alcohol related or it can also be due to a manslaughter without death.

The SR22 is an endorsement added to your current auto policy or you can get an additional policy just for the SR22 by itself. You need to carry that for three years with no lapse in coverage. And also, once you pay that reinstatement fee and provide the proof of the SR22 to the DMV, you may be able to reinstate your driver’s license. If you have any questions, please submit your questions to our BBC website. Thank you.

Ask An Agent- Off-Road Recreational Vehicles

Hi, I’m Taylor. And today we’re going to talk about off road recreational vehicles. So this would include your ATVS, your dirt bikes, your Can-Ams, your Razors, things along those lines.

So yet the state doesn’t mandate you to carry this insurance. It’s always a good idea to carry the insurance because one, if you hit somebody else while you’re out there riding and you potentially hurt somebody, the insurance would pay for that. It kind of works just like an auto policy that would cover bodily injury for the other person. And it would also cover property damage in case you did damage their ATV or their dirt bike or whatever it is so you’re not coming out of pocket for that information or later on, they can’t sue you and take you to court and then you have to pay all those costs out of pocket, obviously, then you can carry it for yourself.

So if you have a really expensive razor, that’s like anywhere from, you know, 30 to 40 grand, whatever it is and you go out and you damage that vehicle, now you’re out of pocket for thousands and thousands worth of damage. But if you have a policy on it, then you only have to pay your deductible, which could be, you know, 500, 1000, is all you have to pay. And then the insurance company would obviously pay the rest. So it works just like an auto policy. And obviously, then it would also help you cover any medical payments in case you or a loved one is on the back with you or end with you and you roll over or you hurt yourself, then both of you can be covered for medical payments as well.

If you have any questions, please give us a call and we’ll be happy to help you. Thank you.

Ask An Agent- Mexico Travel Insurance

Hi, I’m Miro with Branch Insurance Group. Today, we’re going to talk a little bit about travel insurance into Mexico. For those who wish to travel into Mexico, you must have travel insurance.

This travel insurance is pretty simple. It goes based on the vehicle value and the time frame that you’ll be going into Mexico. Of course, all Mexico is covered once you go into Mexico, for the travel insurance. And again, it’s really simple. It’s really based on the year make and model of your vehicle and the value of the vehicle and how many days you’re going into Mexico.

You might think that Mexico insurance is really not necessary, but honestly, it is mandatory. In Mexico If you happen to get pulled over by a federal, which is a police officer and he asks you for insurance and you happen not to have it, he is able to go ahead and tow that vehicle from you and of course you’ll be stranded without a vehicle. So it’s really important to have that Mexico policy in place. We could do anything from motorcycles, license insurance, automobiles and recreational vehicles as well.

So give us a call here at BBC. We’ll be able to help you out with that travel insurance. If you’re needing to speak Spanish, we’re here to help you as well. Thank you for your time.
